100% of the profits are used to:

  • Send "support boxes" to men and women in uniform
  • Support wounded Soldiers with encouragement and needed items, especially those with no support
  • Support the families of our wounded Soldiers both physically and emotionally

Beginning June 2004, roughly 200 troops arrived at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport daily for their two week R&R leave. A group of "Army Moms" gathered there daily to greet these Soldiers. This daily greeting has become an event talked about and anticipated by the Troops arriving at DFW on their way home. From this group of "Army Moms" evolved Defenders of Freedom in November 2004. The Army concluded the program in March 2012. Defenders of Freedom continues to send care packages to deployed Troops and give emergency financial support to Wounded Troops. In addition, we are helping Veterans find jobs through relationships with recruiters at many companies throughout North Texas.
